Join Iyengar yoga instructor Meghan Goodman for a progressive series of classes designed to create a strong foundation for newer students, while offering opportunities for those with a regular practice to deepen their understanding of the poses and how they work best in our own bodies. With a focus on alignment and the use of props, learn how to bring your body into balance, improving mobility, stability, and strength. The concentration required for this slow and steady practice helps to draw the practitioner's attention inward, integrating and quieting the mind and body. There will be time for questions during the class and postures will be modified to suit the needs of each particular student. Meghan Goodman is a yoga instructor, professional dance artist and new mother. She began practicing yoga in 1998 and has been teaching since 2006. Seeking more information on how to work with a wider range of students, Meghan began her studies of Iyengar yoga in 2008, and with the guidance of Louie Ettling, completed the Intro 2 teaching certification in 2013. For Meghan, Iyengar yoga has become the steady path to finding stability and space in the body, the antidote to a physically demanding and busy lifestyle, and a method for moving deeper in the practice with intelligence and care.
