Balakrama – Stepping into Strength – is a powerful practice that builds strength and agility. Rooted in the principles of Hatha Yoga, it safely corrects weakness and deficiencies and prepares the practitioner for entry into asana practice.
Asanas are the most well known tools of Hatha Yoga. With proper preparation and guidance, asana practice has countless benefits. Without proper guidance or execution, however, asana can cause a variety of ailments and setbacks.
In this five-session workshop, Andy will teach Balakrama and introduce the practice of the primary asanas.
The primary asanas give the basic framework of asana, which tones the organs and works to release deeply held restrictions. This workshop is suitable for all levels and abilities – yoga is for everyone, to their own ability.
